«Daviaux» is the more common spelling of that surname. Daviau, Daviaud, Davieau are some variants. The name is pronounced "Dah-vee-O" whichever way it is spelled.

What does any of this have to do with Empress Klinton?

FL,

How liberal is your PM, compared to the one you call Hitlery?

That would be difficult to answer without comparing one-on-one their positions on domestic/foreign/social policies and whatnot. However, I think we can safely assume that any Canadian politician (irrespective of office held) will be to the left of his U.S. counterpart.

In any event, what is important in this era is image, more so than content. President Obama has great charisma and is well liked abroad. Elect another guy with great media appeal and you'll keep
The World happy.

BTW, I did your Isidewith Survey and got Mike Huckabee. Mike Huckawho??? That guy has no media coverage here. He looks like a plumber in a business suit.

You need a polarizer for President! Donald «The Wall» Trump or Bernie Sanders...

FL,
You aligned most with Huckabee?

Ida figured you'd be a virtual mirror image of Jill Stein. She's about as far left as one can get in this election. And she'd probably still be too far right for you liberal Canadians.

This is true. We get a lot of French Canadian tourists down here in southern Maine and New Hampshire. If you go to the beach in April and May it's not uncommon to see them frolicking in the icy surf like walruses in Speedos.

I've never heard of Jill Stein...she's probably toast.

Sorry, but a candidate running now needs the Imprimatur of the media to have a chance at being the nominee.

In Cuba, the locals don't swim from October to March because they consider the Carribean too cold. The waters off Havana and Varadero always seemed fine to me.

Staying on topic, who would look better in a swimsuit on a Cuban beach, Hillary or Bernie, as President? I say Bernie because he has been singing the same tune for 40 years...

Also, since America prefers geriatric leaders, you gotta think IMAGE! ...men age better than women

But that was soooo long ago. Way before global warming climate change.

And in the ten years I've lived here, I have seen snow falling, maybe 3 times.

But I had to actually concentrate to see if it really was snow. It didn't last long.

It snowed once when I lived in Pensacola. That was 1993 if I remember right. There were 300+ car accidents in the 3 hours before it melted. That was confusing to me. People there had no trouble driving in rain so heavy that you couldn't see 10 feet past your hood, but a quarter inch of snow had them playing bumper cars. You'd think their rain driving skills would have transferred better. It's not that different.

I spend a fair amount of time MA and northern CT. I enjoy the snow, as long as it's not relentless. It's the bitter daytime cold I hate, and that nasty below-10 stuff at night. If the car is parked outside, just walking to it without busting your kiester on black ice - well, forget that! But their payoffs for enduring winter are glorius summers, little humidity. :D
