Atheists are TOO funny...

You know what's so funny about atheists? Other than always denying they don't have faith and atheism isn't a religion, there's two more really funny things-when they claim to be "freethinkers"-and the prerequisite for being a free thinker is assuming God does not exist...and then there's "skepticism is a virtue"...but what are they skeptical about? Anything that goes against their entrenched beliefs. I don't know, sounded really hilarious.

But there's a non-funny thing about them too. Eternal damnation is scary. I hope they come to know Jesus and go to Heaven with us. I'm scared for them. They're standing right in front of a moving bus and denying it's exsistance. "Nope! Ain't no bus! I tell ya', there ain't no bus."

Yup, really friggin' funny - generalization after generalization after generalization!

Haha, while we're talking about funny things other people do, did you know that all Jews still crucify Christian babies, drain the blood, and use it in pudding?

"Yup, really friggin' funny - generalization after generalization after generalization!"

- Well I think the tone of this thread is pretty poor for a Christian site.

Generalizations though? A generalization is where you paint lots of individuals with a very broad brush. The comments were simply about atheism, and pretty accurate. When atheists are not entrenched in their beliefs, they are agnostics - a much more honest position.

Blacknad.

Saying atheists are all morons just happens to be a generalization that holds in all cases...what can I say?

Canuckster, you are spot on. I can only believe that Kmart is very young and doesn't yet realise how much damage is done to Christ's name when his followers resort to insulting non-believers - and then compounding it by insulting fellow believers as well.

It saddens me to see this on a Christian forum - Kmart do you think your comments are at all helpful to non-Christians reading this site?

I have read a few of your posts and it is clear that you're an intelligent guy - why not humbly employ that intelligence to debate graciously with athiests?

Regards,

Blacknad.

Thanks. I don't mind a good argument or debate.

What do you call this style? Bigotry, ad hominems, strawmen, sweeping generalizations, and not all that funny to boot. Are you here to address and draw atheists into conversation or to mock them?

All atheists are fools. It's not a hasty generalization.

Thanks for the clarification, Dale Carnegie. I'm not an atheist and yet you call me a fool as well. It must be a great burden for you, being the only reasonable man you know.

Best of luck in your campaign. I'm moving on.
