Why dost thou spread His word with dishonest intent?

I see those on this forum who proclaim to be Christian, yet work against what the Lord has professed in his day. Dishonesty only breeds dishonesty. Rather than ridicule thine brother for unorthodox views, why not learn his beliefs so you are better able to understand him when he speaks to you? Rather than try to disprove him without listening when he tells you something, why not try to understand him. Perhaps he is just speaking with different words.

The Lord knew how life had progressed in the past, and how it would affect the future of humanity if he did not intervene. That is why Jesus came to this earth, to teach the children of God how to live above animals, and how to survive in this cruel and harsh universe he has created. For it is our duty to work together, as a community, as humanity to survive. The Rapture is nowhere near us, we have millennia ahead. But we must survive till then and we must remember what we have been taught. The devil persuades animals because their minds are less complex and they believe his lies more easily. Lucifer also persuades those of less intelligence and simpler morality to act with more animal-like behavior. Lucifer stands behind capitalism, a form of government created by the corruption of the devil's whispers. Capitalism and materialism are animalistic, primal instincts. They are the idea that the stronger will survive and the weaker must be killed. Conglomerates use the unspoken motto of "kill or be killed."

Those scientists who believe that religion is ridiculous are being manipulated by Lucifer in an attempt to convince the whole world of his lies. The televangelists spouting off false interpretations of His word are being manipulated by Satan. The people who attack without trying to understand are being misled by the Devil.

To be fundamental is to live by a self-proclaimed lie. Open your eyes and your ears and your nose and your mind; open the very nerves that connect you to this world and let them speak to you truthfully. Don't let your conscious mind cloud your intrinsic judgment. You can still learn something from the stupidest man alive.

Science is only half the answer.

Religion is only half the answer.

Love thine enemy.

I don't think that the Bible teaches letting in flase teachings and lies just so we can all connect and live in harmony.

We are to be seperate from the world not be inclusive of everything it has to offer.

How is religion only half the answer?

If the specific gravity of chlorine or the adaptability of fruit flies really matters in your day to day life we have a problem.

I never understood why some people needed to prove that the Ark is real in order to realize the wisdom in Psalms, or the message of love Jesus was trying to proclaim.

I think that's a very bad simplification saying Jesus main message was love...

Because the ark was real, BGood. I think you're missing the entire point. The bible isn't just a book on morality and Jesus wasn't just a moral person. Hanging onto those two ideas is very dangerous.

Dangerous. Dangerous. Dangerous.

There is a way that seemeth right to a man and the end therof is destruction. You don't bother muddling the waters with careful application of logic and reason to test with your mind before accepting something as truth?

I would think you would use your conscious mind to think long and hard about something before letting it in.

I guess you are of the philosophy that if it feels right by your opened senses than it is right. You are against fundamentals because they base truth on an absolute God instead of blowing in the wind like public opinion.

God Said to his servent Noah
Seven days from now I will send rain on the earth for forty days and forty nights, and I will wipe from the face of the earth every living creature I have made."

If this didn't happen than God is no God for me.

Perhaps he is just speaking with different words.
Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets.

And when they had gone through the isle unto Paphos, they found a certain sorcerer, a false prophet, a Jew, whose name was Barjesus:

For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.

In journeyings often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by mine own countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren;

And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage:

O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:

Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ.

But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

From my perspective this is what I see.

If you deny the truth from one source and blindly accept truth from another source, you are denying reality. If you open your senses to the truth all the time, you cannot be lied to. Of course you are going to be decieved if you only take some people seriously. if you listen to everyone and understand them; if you listen to the world and what you are being taught, then you will know the truth.

BGood:

C.S. Lewis, Mere Christianity
I am trying here to prevent anyone saying the really foolish thing that people often say about Him: 'I'm ready to accept Jesus as a great moral teacher, but I don't accept His claim to be God.' That is the one thing we must not say. A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher. He would either be a lunatic--on a level with the man who says he is a poached egg--or else he would be the Devil of Hell. You must make your choice. Either this man was, and is, the Son of God: or else a madman or something worse. You can shut Him up for a fool, you can spit at Him and kill Him as a demon; or you can fall at His feet and call Him Lord and God. But let us not come with any patronising nonsense about His being a great human teacher. He has not left that open to us. He did not intend to.

Sorry but I think you have that a little twisted. If I am willing to accept that truth comes from anywhere, than I am ready to be lied to. Is the day here or do you patiently wait still? Test them all because lots of them will lie to you.

You are not seeing the whole picture. If you accept what people say, for what it is, and if you do this for all people, not just the ones you trust, then you cannot be decieved. I am not telling you to believe them, but to understand them. Belief has been twisted from what it really means. Today, belief is only an interpretation, it is not a way of living anymore, for most.

This makes it best to rely on the Word of God and trust His Spirit for guidence. I don't feel that I need to entertain all ideas.

The way that you live is in large part based upon what you believe to be true. It also is based in large part upon your nature.

IF you think it best to wander through trying to understand everything so that you can beome enlightened enough to dsicover truth, so be it.

The meek and the lowly and the poor are blessed. The wisdom of man and the natural way is evidenced everywhere you look. Is it time?

I believe it was God's intention to change humanity by sending his only son to earth. I believe that humanity had reached a certain point where God knew that we were ready to be taught. Jesus came to teach us, not to give us a sense of comfort. And we are still learning from his words.
