When they wrote the story about Adam ahving one more rib then Eve, how would have they known that men had 1 more rib then women back then? Is that a hint that it isnt made up? Which i know/believe is isn't.

if your going to say that, why not go the whole nine yards and state the fact that Moses wasnt alive for like 4 thousand years after the creation. having him write about the past with such detail...it could only have come from God.

Well...if that's even true about the ribs-you can still feel em. One thing that I ran over while glancing through a book I won't be able to read for a year at this rate is this-if the OT were made up (works for the NT as well)-then why aren't the Jews (in the OT) and the apostles (in the NT) depicted as good? I mean, if yuu're going to make the OT up, why make the Jewish leaders the chief of sinners, as well as have the entire Jewish people turn to other Gods, only to have God bring them back?

My example wasnt the best hint, but theres many. And yeah, it could have only came from God, especially that the prophecie about Jesus coming on the Old testemand coming true.

Im pretty sure Moses knew about ribs otherwise he'd have no idea what God was talking about...

The fact that Hebrew even had a word for 'rib' suggests this was not uncommon knowledge.

Hate to rain on your parade, but men and women have the same number of ribs.

It also wasn't necessarily a rib, but a portion of Adam's side.

puritan lad is right, same # of ribs (reference HERE), but kurieuo, i beg to differ...look Genesis 2:21,22 so see that it was a rib.

New English Translation

2:21 So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep,62 and while he was asleep,63 he took part of the man's side64 and closed up the place with flesh.65 2:22 Then the Lord God made66 a woman from the part he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man.

64tn Traditionally translated “rib,” the Hebrew word actually means “side.” The Hebrew text reads, “and he took one from his sides,” which could be rendered “part of his sides.” That idea may fit better the explanation by the man that the woman is his flesh and bone.
