I know I'm being impatient here, as you stated you will add more later, but I was wondering if this link is supposed to support a theory of "the flood", because I don't see where I'm supposed to read that. Also, the statement about things being formed when "most of the earth waas covered by water" is curious...how much is "most", as "most" of the earth is currently covered by water.

Is it reasonable to assume that once all the fossil fuel is burned up, that the system will be closer to what it was in preflood days?
Although I don't bellieve in the theory of the great flood, this question can be addressed. If you look at the forms that carbon, hydrogen, etc. were theorized to be found in in prehistoric times (or even pre-flood times, if you want to use that approach), you would find that most of this material was found in plant and animal matter as opposed to freely available in the atmosphere. Therefore, only if that matter was returned to those forms, such as through increased growth in plant and animal tissue, regenration of forests, etc., would you see any type of return to previous conditions. Rather than just thinking about the amount of organic material either locked in the earth or found above its surface, one must also think about the form that it is found in.
