2012, December 1st.
This is a date that has been becoming more and more popular, because it marks, according to the Mayan calendar, it will be the end of the age that we are currently in, and the start of the final 5th age (Some argue on different dates, one such theory suggests that the actually date will be in the year 4772)
Either way, there are some who think (futurists) that this will be the date of Jesus' Second Coming... I can sort of see how, with this "5th and final age" symbolizing the New Jerusalem. Other than this, I dont know much else, I havent studied the Calendar.
Anyone know more about this?

I already know the guys who authored those books arent true prophets (they gave false prophecies).
But you know the end of the world is gonna come eventually. I was just wondering if it could align with the end of the Calendar, as some have suggested. Although I know the Mayans don't pass the prophet test either

This is why I don't understand how people can still follow LDS and the watch tower society when they have failed at predicting Jesus' coming! It's amazing to me how....well, studid people can be.

Don't forget Hal Lindsey/Jack Van Impe, etc. They make the LDS and JW's look credible.

It's also 6 years after the Y2K crisis destroyed the world

I also heard that in the year 2012 the sun will be in the center of the universe (speculation?) but this would make sense for the 2nd coming of Jesus Christ seeing as how the universe and everything within is all interwoven. Weren't the planets supposedly aligned for Jesus' birth? or was that just made up for the Nativity Story. lol
