When I was a younger lad (with a stronger back), I use to move furniture for an office company.. Anyways, as the story goes, I was praying to God one day about getting some direction in my life... I thought to myself, what I'm suppose to do with myself? I need to make more money and do more things in my life. Right now I'm a nobody...
So, the next day I was in San Francisco picking up some file cabinets. Usually I inspect them first, so I reached my hand in the top drawer and pulled out this small letter. Unbeknownst to me this small note answered my basic questions and put me back to square one. I believe it was inspired by the Holy Spirit... This is what the note said:
How Much Is Enough?
The rich industrialist from the North was horrified to find the southern fisherman lying lazily beside his boat, smoking a pipe.
'Why aren't you out fishing?" said the industrialist.
"Because I have caught enough fish for the day," said the fisherman.
'Why don't you catch some more?"
'What would I do with them?"
"You could earn more money," was the industrialist's reply. "With that you could have a motor fixed to your boat and go into deeper waters and catch more fish. Then you would make enough to buy nylon nets. These would bring you more fish and more money. Soon you would have enough money to own two boats. . . maybe even a fleet of boats. Then you would be a rich man like me."
"What would I do then?" asked the fisherman.
"Then you could really enjoy life."
'Well, what do you think I am doing right now?" answered the fisherman..
