Hey guys,
I was wondering, that many say that Jesus is from the line of David, but I have never really read over verses in the Bible that refer to Mary. I mean, sure Joseph is the earthly father of Jesus, but in terms of biological conception, it was just Mary and the Holy Spirit. Did I miss some verses that speak of Mary from the line of David, or are the prophecies just refering to Joseph and his role as the earthly father of Jesus, and not really to Jesus' bloodline?

Re: Genealogy of Christ
If you had a family with members not relating to you by blood, would you not include them in the family tree? Both parents are married, therefore, i would include them.

yeah, but the definition of genealogy might have been different back then, I mean, I thought that the Jews made their prophecy saying that the "Blood" of the Saviour would be from the line of David? Well, the point I'm trying to say is, the definition might've been different back then. (They say from the "Line" of David, not the "genealogy" of David.)

Actually take a look at Matthew and Luke. You will notice that the lineages of Christ are not the Same. One is the Lineage of Mary the other of Joseph. I believe (don't have time to look up) that Luke's lineage is the correct Lineage of Mary.
