revelations
after the flood, did God say that he would never destroy the earth again?
i haven't really read revelations yet but from what i've scanned and read it sounds like nuclear holocaust or global warming stuff: extreme cold; no sun (nuclear winter or ice age), etc. what do you guys think?

mastermind is right, God put a rainbow in the sky as a promise to never destroy the earth with water again.
He will however destroy it with fire 2peter 3:10the day of the Lord will come like a thief. the heavens heavens will disappear with a roar and the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth a nd every thing in it will be laid bare.(burned up)

Something significant to observe is that the earth was completely dry after the flood:
Kurieuo.
- 13 By the first day of the first month of Noah's six hundred and first year, the water had dried up from the earth. Noah then removed the covering from the ark and saw that the surface of the ground was dry. 14 By the twenty-seventh day of the second month the earth was completely dry. (Genesis 8:13-14)

Yeah, I'd agree... I was just making an observation though. However I'd like to point out that I would have only been taking it as literally as those who believe that a flood destroyed the whole earth.
Kurieuo.
PS. Sorry, I think I've taken this topic off into another direction.
