Could someone give me your definition of omnipresent as it pertains to God?

My definition would be that God can be present at all places at all times. In other words, He can manifest Himself in man and still be in heaven tending to heavenly things.

Am I right?

Thanks.

One of the more important attributes of God to understand is the fact that God is independent of time. God created time! All points of time are now to God. The Bible points out these relationships with passages like this:

II Peter 3:8: “But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing. that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.”

It is important to realize that Einstein verified the relative nature of time. Time is not an ethereal substance evenly flowing through the cosmos. Time is a created thing, existent so that matter can exist and so that the physical world can be. Think of the understandings which are linked to the realization that God is independent of time!
How can God hear all of our prayers at once? God has all of eternity to listen to the last second prayer of a pilot as his plane goes down in flames. Time does not limit God.

That's a very good article.

What prompted my question is that a friend of mine said that he didn't believe that God could be manifested in Jesus and be in Heaven at the same time. Whether we think of God in the Trinititarian sense--1 Being, 3 persons, or in the Unitarian sense--1 Being, 1 person, I think that the answer is the same. God can be everywhere at the same time.

Thank you

give him a line from Meet Joe Black when he talks about how when your getting up in the morning and ready for the day your not just putting on your clothes and brushing your teeth but your mind is elsewehre attending to your buisness, planning meetings and scheules and so on, with this you have some basic idea of the concept, now times that by infinity and take it to the depths of forever and you will hardly have an idea as to what im talking about... thats obviously not a direct quote, and i just said it to be funny.
