Because they fly in the face of Science . What if our observations are construed due to the Sin in our World? kidding kidding

No, you make a good point....but I would also say that there can be sin that brings about their conclusions as well

The obstinancy and refusal to even think about things continues the animosity between Christianity and science.

The publicity they recieve also perpetuates the notion that most Christians believe this.

With regards to creation? I am assuming you mean this.

Genesis is clear that...
The universe had a beginning
God created everything out of His will
He created everything in a certain order and purpose
He knew everything that He was going to do (no accidents...)

Flexibility on
Age of the earth
How God created the universe (meaning the actual process He use, did He just "poof" things into existnece?)
