Just something that I thought I'd share.

I haven't posted in a while, due to the fact that life's been hard and I needed to focus more on it. But I'm back for now!

I've been debating with my friend, Mike, He happens to be an atheist. He brought up several good points regarding my religion, and several famous atheists. I have some decent rebuttal for his accusations, and I'd like some of you to help me critique them.

Point 1.Darwin believed in God for a large chunk of his life, he was a very intelligent man. He switched over to Atheism, due to the fact that when he created natural selection, he believe that science outweighed religion.

My Rebuttal: Darwin did believe in God for a large chunk of him life, and we was a very smart man. But Charles Darwin was NOT an atheist, we was agnostic. He did not create Natural Selection, that was Alfred Wallace, and he did not switch over to AGNOSTICISM due to his belief in Evolution, he switched because the death of his daughter.

Point 2:Hitler was a Christian, to be more correct, Catholic. He was largely influenced by his religion to due what he did. When he was going to Catholic school, there was a large Swastika hung on the entrance to the school.

Rebuttal:Hitler was not a Christian, whether you're saying it or not, if you do not practice what you preach, you're a lier. Furthermore, The Swastika is a 6000 year old symbol meaning "good luck". It's not inherently evil, so it meant nothing when it was used in Hitlers youth.

I have to get going to work, I'll post more of our argument, and more of my rebuttal, cya later.

DArwin and Wallace both came up with the idea of natural selection and descent over time.

Ask him what parts of Catholicism and/or Christianity influenced Hitler....what were the Christian philosophies that were part of Nazi philosophy

The Darwin answer you gave is what I have read about him. The death of his daughter really affected his belief. On that note, the death of my Brother made me angry at God a long time ago. I switched religions (to wicca) for many years and was Anti- Christian. I was born again earlier this year. I burned all my pagan books in a large bonfire last Easter and have dedicated myself to God through thick and thin.

As far as Hitler, It is my understanding that he was influenced by the occult also during his rise to power. A little more research on this may be needed for you to get a more streamlined proper answer. He may have been catholic, but once you fall away from the Church then you are no longer Christian but like I was an ex-Christian.
