Not sure if this is the best forum for this. But thought it was worth mentioning.
But two interesting science news lately.
1. New info about stem cells. scientists have been able to take adult cells and get them to undifferentiate. Any thoughts? If this a viable process, this would mean that we would not have to mess around with embryos but rather simply take an adult cell.
2. Interesting 60 minutes tonight on minimally conscious patients and vegetative patients. One is that ambien might be a new drug that affects the brain of coma patients to a point where they are aware and communicative. Also, scans show that vegetative patients have some similar hot spots to regualr brains, showing active thinking in some cases.
