A Thank You

A Thank You:

I would like to give thanks for the many blessings in my life. First and foremost, I would like to thank You, oh God, for creating me as You saw fit. You formed me from the beginning with the only mentality and mindset that would have made it possible for me to survive in the life ahead of me. Thank you, also, God, for Your love and forgiveness, without which I would not know what I would be.

Secondly, I would like to give thanks for my parents, whose unfailing love and wisdom has been a steady rock in my tumultuous life. I love you, mom and dad.

I would also like to thank You for my wife, whose beauty shines brighter inside than out. She is my strength, my determination, and my compass. Without her, I would be a ship at see without a crew.

Next I would like to thank You for the trials in my life. Without the trials and tribulations, which only You could have carried me through, I would not be the man I am today; and even that man is not yet complete.

And how can I forget the other Christians You have put in my life? I am constantly surrounded with others who share their own wisdom and experiences with me, shaping me further into the creature You desire me to be.

Finally, I would like to thank You for the all the others in my life. Thank you, Oh God, for those that do not yet know You, so I may see what it is like to be without You. Without these people, I may stray.

With all the above that has been bestowed upon me, my life is constantly blessed with small, powerful pieces of wisdom, so much that by the end of my blessed life, I will have been given more knowledge than any of the wisest of men could bestow upon me. Whether I choose to keep this knowledge to pass on to further generations of Your followers has yet to be told.

And may I use all the gifts given in a way that furthers your kingdom, bringing those who do not yet know You closer to Your heart.

If I may, oh Gracious Lord, pray for one more blessing. May the Jags beat the Colts this coming Sunday.
