Please pray for....

My grandchildren as their mother is a drug addict who gets sober for a while and falls off again after a few weeks.
At this time, she has been strung out for at least three weeks and seems to be into it worse than ever.

Our grandbabies are 22 mo. and 16 wks. and needless to say we love them very much.

The youngest just got out of the hospital yesterday after being in for sever bronchial problems, a result of neglect. The stay was 4+ days with my wife spending upwards of 14hrs. a day while the mothers sister spent the nights with him. The mother never showed up. I stayed home from work to be with the oldest, thanks to GOD I was able to do that.

These children, plus an 8yr.old from a previous marriage, have been neglected far too much and it would have been worse had not my wife and I took them home with us at every opportunity-Thanks to GOD for that too.

We would like to get some kind of a temporary custody if possible and/or long term as we don't see any short-term rehab for the mother being effective.

Every day is prayer without ceasing always asking for GOD's will to be done and HE has done alot for these babies and ourselves as well.

I've been on this forum for nearly a year now and after reading many of your posts, I believe that most of you are true seekers whom I have a love and deep respect for. That is why I ask that you will remember our little ones in your prayers. And, if it isn't too much to ask please pray for their mother and dad (our son) also. Our son doesn't drink or take drugs and I fear that all this is taking a heavy toll on him.

Sincerely, Cross.eyed.

My heart goes out to you and your family. I've just been looking after my baby grandson these last couple of days as his parents were both ill with the flu. The love for your grandchildren is special and I pray things will work for the good.

Yes,it is awful when someone falls into addiction and of course, the problem is compounded when children are involved, but our babies are with us for now and they are happy.

My son doesn't handle stress very well-he is of the "bulldozer" type-sometimes a little too forceful .

Thank you very much for your prayers.

Yes, the love for grand children is special, it seems that GOD expands our heart to accommodate their needs for our love.

Thanks so much for your prayers,

Thank you JCSx2, these children need all the prayer they can get.

Update: This situation is still ongoing and deteriorating, as the mother has been evicted from a low income apartment with no place to go.

The good news is, my wife and I have the babies with us and they are just fine and happy, getting lots of love from Nana and Papaw.

One thing we've learned (ok, two things) is we can go without sleep more than we thought, and that we are not 25 yr's old anymore.

Thanks again everyone.
