arctic freeze

On to a chilly topic

Who else is dealing with this big arctic front across the US? We in the middle eastern US don't usually see 10 degree weather, although I don't doubt that many of you are dealing with even colder weather. (Feel free to make me feel warm in comparison!! ) Taking the dog for a walk at 5:30am is NOT fun when it is 10 degrees out!! Had to dig out my earmuffs and nice fuzzy hat and scarves. And resorting to wearing fleece PJ's, fleece robe, AND the big fuzzy penguin slippers (love the irony, there) so I dont' resort to turning the heater up around the house!

SO please, all you northeners, scoff at my cold fingers....spin your tales of "if you think *that's* cold...."

And to all you southeners (or Californians...Gman, how's the weather out in California?)? YOu can provoke some envy by describing some balmy....oh....50 degree weather? :P

And still no snow days :x IF it's going to be this cold, it oughta snow!!

Hee hee. It's been very windy here in Southern California, but in the 80s!!!! Now, I actually don't like it that warm/hot here in the winter. I LIKE somewhat cooler weather (not your weather, however) and I love wearing sweaters and other soft stuff!!

You think 10° is cold? :pound:

(Sissy) It is officially -20°F here; the thermometer outside my house says -23°F and the weather lady says it will go town to -27° overnight with a windchill factor of -40°F

Hello my sissy friends,

just a short note to let you know that it has warmed up considerably here in Montreal. The temperature on my exterior thermometer indicates...+10°F at the moment, and the weather girl says that it will get up to the high teens later today.

Quite balmy! (Unless you're a sissy!)

I'm getting snow, if one is generous with the definition  ...flurries is more accurate....still pretty, though, we are under a winter weather advisory.

Of course, no school today because of the holidays anyway

So.....you're probably lying beside the pool getting a great tan huh?

I bet when you doze off from the high teens heat wave, you dream of us sissys with five inch thick clothes on to ward off 30 degree chills, you no doubt wake up with a chuckle..don't you?

Sissys have feelings too you know!!

Yes! You southerners really are funny! I remember being in Florida once during what they euphemistically call ''Winter'' and I swam in the ocean while the locals walked around with jackets, long pants and wore gloves to boot!
