He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it. Rev 2:17.
According to Rev 2:17, we will be given a new name; only God knows what it is.
Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, [which is] new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him] my new name. Rev 3:12.
What does "my new name" refer to in Rev. 3:12 -- the believer's new name or Jesus' new name?
Thanks.

Re: Revelation 3:12, Question about the new name
Hi C2,
1.)The name of God the Father v. 12.
2.)The name of the new Jerusalem, the capital city of God. v. 21: 2
3.)The new name of Christ v.12.
The white stones were known as victory stones and meant pardon and the evidence of it.

Dake wrote: Conquerors in the public games were given white stones with their names in them, which entitled them to be supported the rest of their lives at public expense.
I am the wretch the song refers to.
