THis is one of the things I was most afraid of with the changing of the presidency. Souter immediately announces his retirement and Obama will choose a very liberal justice. YOu can bet planned parenthood will have someone bring up the abortion restrictions and we will have an increase in the numebr of abortions.

May I add that Ruth Bader Ginsberg has serious health issues. There is a strong possibility that Obama's administration will be responsible for more than one replacement. Regardless of Obama's decisions, it is imperative to remember that God is sovereign.

Of course He is, that doesn't mean we can't be frsutratedby the turn of events. Whatever slim limits there were on abortion will be decimated, not to mention other liberal causes.

Souter and Ginsberg were not conservatives by any means, and O'Conner has been more to the center in the last few years.
But, still, Obama will pck the most liberal-count on it.

I think judges should be neutral. If their job is to interpret the constitution, I think it's a shame that judges have a political allience.

But by electing a liberal president, we are now assured of replacing them with liberal jsutices, instead of gaining perhaps more neutral justices.

Now, there is talk of Obama going "outside" the confines of lawyers when choosing a replacement.
If not qualified lawyers, then who will they suggest? Barney Frank? Sean Penn?

You can believe it, every chance I get I watch his show.

I love it when O'Reilly gets in a politician's face!

Are you a fan?
