trouble experiencing god

im having some spiritual issues i cant seem to love the right way or forgive the right way so please pray for me becuase i honestly dont know how

Maybe you should experience the forgiveness of Christ? Now, I'm not saying that you don't want to, but sometimes in feeling the weight of our sin, we hold on to it and tend to cherish it, partly afraid to accept that Christ gave Himself for our sins and partly because we are deeply ashamed and disgusted by our sins...sometimes we hold our sins to ourself in some attempt to hide from god. But in order to be cleansed and purified we must lay our sins and burdens upon Him and accept His suffering for us.

Luke 7:41-47 (New International Version)

41"Two men owed money to a certain moneylender. One owed him five hundred denarii,[a] and the other fifty. 42Neither of them had the money to pay him back, so he canceled the debts of both. Now which of them will love him more?"

43Simon replied, "I suppose the one who had the bigger debt canceled."
"You have judged correctly," Jesus said.

44Then he turned toward the woman and said to Simon, "Do you see this woman? I came into your house. You did not give me any water for my feet, but she wet my feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair. 45You did not give me a kiss, but this woman, from the time I entered, has not stopped kissing my feet. 46You did not put oil on my head, but she has poured perfume on my feet. 47Therefore, I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven—for she loved much. But he who has been forgiven little loves little."

It is only when we accept how truly we deserve His wrath that we understand what amazing grace he gives!! We all have this enormous debt, it is only those who realize it is such an enormous debt tha understands and truly loves Christ and loves Christ enough to so brazenly love Him.

If you hold onto your sins and don't let Him forgive you, you cannot experience that grace and you will find it hard to forgive.


In the parable of the servant

Matthew 18:23-35 (New International Version)

23"Therefore, the kingdom of heaven is like a king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants. 24As he began the settlement, a man who owed him ten thousand talents[a] was brought to him. 25Since he was not able to pay, the master ordered that he and his wife and his children and all that he had be sold to repay the debt.

26"The servant fell on his knees before him. 'Be patient with me,' he begged, 'and I will pay back everything.' 27The servant's master took pity on him, canceled the debt and let him go.

28"But when that servant went out, he found one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred denarii. He grabbed him and began to choke him. 'Pay back what you owe me!' he demanded.

29"His fellow servant fell to his knees and begged him, 'Be patient with me, and I will pay you back.'

30"But he refused. Instead, he went off and had the man thrown into prison until he could pay the debt. 31When the other servants saw what had happened, they were greatly distressed and went and told their master everything that had happened.

32"Then the master called the servant in. 'You wicked servant,' he said, 'I canceled all that debt of yours because you begged me to. 33Shouldn't you have had mercy on your fellow servant just as I had on you?' 34In anger his master turned him over to the jailers to be tortured, until he should pay back all he owed.

35"This is how my heavenly Father will treat each of you unless you forgive your brother from your heart."

Been there done that. Keep pushing in pursuing God. It's worth it if for nothing else than God loves you very very much.
