Republican Party Swings Left

Right until the last day of Bush's presidency, the GOP website was a "war" site. It was extremely conservative and home page content was almost exclusively dedicated to the war on terror.

The new GOP chairman is an African American who believes the GOP needs to look to the ghetto for inspiration. I've never been a fan of the ghetto personally having spent time there. The GOP appears to have swung from a war on terror party to a conservative party that wants to integrate hip hop. I find this both comical and disturbing.

New R.N.C. Chairman Wants a 'Hip-Hop' Party
By MICHAEL FALCONE

The public relations campaign Mr. Steele has planned is going to be “off the hook,” he told the Washington Times in an interview published on Thursday."

Maybe he can get NWO to front for the GOP. Don King can handle the tour.

Well, considering that the liberal left has had Hollywood and LA in their back pocket and in the White House for all of these years, they've already been campaigning to the hip-hop section.

and don't worry, the liberal left has already had Don King all these years...

Sorry honey but Don King is a staunch Republican who campaigned heavily around the country for George Bush Jr. our last president.

As for the GOP. now they've positioned themselves so they can fight the Dems in rap battles. They can each field MCs and do rap battles on MTV. We can all become wiggers and the country can glory in the worst the ghetto has to offer.

Ah, couldn't care less what Don King is.

The liberal left has had oodles and oodles of practice using celebrities, rappers, MTV, VH1, the NEA, pretty much most of the educational system...

Shoot, even the little kids are getting into it, creating and singing rap music for our glorious president.

So Steele makes some remarks about trying to target a different audience and this is news? Shoot, after 30 years of being bedfellows with Hollywood and the Music industry, all the left can do is either scoff (they've done such a good job) or get territorial.

Ah, OK.

Not sure how things are in the US, but (regarding the hip-hop, ghetto, down with the kids bit) our UK politicians (not to mention those peers in the House of Lords) are generally, to say the least, a bit "out of touch".

I like many aspects of the BNP's platform to be honest but they do have an undesirable racist history.

It would be nice reverse all the red tape and the Constitution Party certainly would do that. This party is successfully tapping into a very real and growing populist movement in this country. I voted for their candidate Chuck Baldwin in the last election. However, they have some serious flaws in their platform. Their platform emphatically allow states to secede from the union; for example, even to foreign powers. If California decides to go with Mexico and Texas wants to as well that's all well and good from the Constition Party's perspective. Another problem is that all social services including Social Security, welfare, Medical, etc... would end very quickly leaving tens of millions of people starving, suffering, and dying. How do you think we would react to that? Do you think we would just lie down and die quietly without a whimper? Think again. Massive serious riots would occur with millions involved across the country. The backlash would be HUGE and domestic revolutionary communist groups would develop in a BIG way seeking to overthrow the government. It would be citizen against citizen. The have's warring against the have nots in every way.

I'm a card-carrying republican and I agree with him. The party is disintegrated, leaderless, and has lost touch with its core beliefs. It will bounce back, though; it always does.
