A recent journal article
speculates that perhaps Michelangelo painted an anatomically correct image of the human brain into one of his depictions of God on the Sistine chapel's ceiling.
If true then IMHO it makes an already spectacular work of art an order of magnitude greater

Interesting....Michelangelo was renowned for his anatomical accuracy...and artists in those times would have seen a human dissection.

It's possible. But then, it's human nature to look for patterns and impose them on things we see. That's why clouds look like duckies and horsies ....
