Questions about Glenn Beck...

Hey everyone, this is my first post in the politics and world events section. I was wondering what other Christian Protestant thinkers and apologists think of Glenn Beck and his ideas. I know he is a mormon and mormonism is littered with severe problems that certainly disqualifies it as a genuine Christian group, but many of his ideas like wanting Americans to turn back to God and Godly principles. Also, I like the fact he's good friends with historian David Barton. But I was also very curious, what do you all think of Beck's main message, that being the current administration has close ties and or is in bed with communist groups and revolutionaries that are looking to overthrow the nation's capitalist system and reboot it under socialism or communism? One, do you think that Beck has all the facts and two, if indeed Beck is right is there a real way to put a stop to it and keep these revolutionaries from turning us into a communist state? Also, do any of you plan on attending Beck's Restoring Honor rally in Washington DC on the 28th of this month? I"m hearing that three to four million people plan on attending. But anyway, let me know your thoughts. Thanks and God bless.

All I can say is pray for Beck.
He comes on a time when I cannot watch him to often. He does speak of Moromon character repentence alot and a few other things in Mormonese but for most people, this will go over their heads.
And yes - he has many facts and at least telling people who's who and conneting the dots in the political field and for that, kudos...

There are times when he is very engaging and very funny, but there are other times when I am annoyed with him. I watch him infrequently and partly this is due to the more outrageous tones he takes.

Yeah he has his moments, and I think that is what makes him so popular, because he has things that people from every walk of life like about him (aside from PETA that is, lol). I don't agree with everything he says, but it is funny to watch him at times

There are certainly a number of things I can relate to him that are good.. But I'm not to happy sometimes with his "drama queen" antics and his political positions. And his his Mormonism is a huge turn off for me.. Too bad he fell for that one.

I think his Mormonism is what effects the way he is at times, with his views on politics (poly-ticks). He talks a lot about being a recovering alcoholic, and I may be mistaken, but Mormons aren't allowed to drink right? So did he become one after the fact? Now I want to know, lol I am going to have to look that up. Still he does have it right when he says we need to return to the constitution.

He became a Mormon after the binge with the booze.
I can kind of see God's wisdom in having Glen Beck wake up people. If he was at forst a born again blood brought Christian, the Left would have a field day with him and discredit him easily. But as a Mormon, maybe a jack Mormon, the cannot do too much. I would say, he is more a Paul Revere type. The founders of this Country were not all Christians and some became so after time. Pray that Beck surrounds himself with real christians who will lead him into true salvation and that he would question with boldness his own Mormon faith.
Mormonism is a cult and so is progressive neo-marxtistism! It is difficult for those bound in cults to wake up but when theu do - they'll change...

He does write a pretty funny book. Has anyone read "Arguing with Idiots"? His sarcasm is over the top. I would go see the "Bold Fresh" tour if I could. I do love his style. Hey, it could always be worse, he could be as dull and dry as Keith Olbermann.
