Mitt Romney Gives Me The Creeps

Does anybody else feel the same way? I don't know what it is but maybe it's that weird religion he belongs to. I listen to him and I tend to agree with him on most issues but he still gives me the creeps. I consider myself a moderate Republican. I tend to agree with Democrats on economic issues but Republicans on social issues.

************ Side Note ****************************
My only experience with The Mormon Church was about 15 years ago. A couple of their missionaries came to my door and invited me to their local church on Sunday. I decided to go just for the heck of it. I remember their church service was for 3 hours. You had to go to church then 2 other meetings (I can't recall what the meetings were about but it was like Sunday school). But, anyway, you know who I met there? Ray Combs. The guy that used to be on Family Feud. I didn't know who he was but I kept telling myself, "this guy looks familiar.". It didn't help that I didn't watch Family Feud very much. Anyway, when I got home it finally hit me. "That's the guy from Family Feud!!". He was a really nice guy. He went around and introduced me to the other church members. I was shocked when I read in the paper what happened to him. I still think the medication he was taking for a previous back injury caused his problems. He was just too nice a guy to do what the papers said he did.

I find Mitt Romney creepy too.. I didn't know that about Ray Combs.

Anyways I really have nothing against the Mormon people, their doctrine however is, frankly, satanic.

I don't think I would go as far as to say they are satanic. They believe in Jesus Christ. No matter how "strange" their beliefs are, they are still saved. Don't you agree?

Ah... No. The doctrine of Mormonism is certainly satanic. It's works based which is contrary to the gospel.. Not to mention that under Mormon doctrine you become your own god.

As for who goes to heaven or not, it's not for us to judge. Will there be Mormon's in heaven? Again possibly.. I'm not God so I can't say. But the doctrine is most certainly corrupt.. Easily refuted.

The Bible puts only one criteria on getting into Heaven. Accepting Jesus Christ. As long as Mormons accept this, I don't see how they could not be in Heaven. But, I'm not sure if the Mormons accept this or not. I think they do. I'm not about to debate you on Mormonism because I don't have a clue but I do know the Bible puts only one criteria on getting to Heaven. The Mormons, no matter how whacky they are, appear to meet this criteria.

The question is whether Mormons accept this in the same way that traditional Christianity does. I don't think they do.

There are substantial differences in the key doctrines:

Does the Bible say any Christ? No. Specifically the Jesus of the Bible. Mr. 7's, if yoy do some research on Mormonism, I think you'll come to the conclusion that the Mormon Jesus is certainly not the Biblical Jesus Christ.

Is Jesus allowed to put criteria on salvation.
John 5:24
Right faith in the correct message. There may be many Mormons who are saved, simply because they are not intimately familiar with all that Mormonism teaches about Jesus and His message. Any Mormon has access to the bible. However, if they first are indoctinated into the Mormon teachings, and then told to interpret the bible through this lens, they are going to come to a false message.

Yes 77777, but if you study Mormonism it's all about works. You have to work for your salvation which is completely contrary to the gospel. Yes it might "look" good, but you can't judge a book by it's cover. Also anyone can except Christ.. Even the Muslims accept Christ. But what was Christ's message?

No. The Muslims DO NOT accept Christ. Where on earth did you get that idea? That's Religion 101.

Yes they do... They do except Christ as one of their prophets and messengers of God.. Want me to prove it to you?

I understand they believe He was a prophet but they DO NOT believe He was divine. They also believe that He did not die on the cross. It was somebody else. If you want to call that accepting Christ, you can but I'm not.

They accept his messages and believe that his messages are divine... And they believe in Christ. But as for the interpretation of who Christ was in divinity both the Muslims and the Mormon's reject the trinity. That is certain. Both the Muslims and the Mormon's believe that the Christians have perverted the Gospel in that respect.

Again, there isn't just any Christ.. Anyone can say they believe in Christ, but what does that mean? And you too seem to agree with that question too.

Some things have not changed...

2 Co 11:3 But I am afraid that as the serpent deceived Eve by his cunning, your thoughts will be led astray from a sincere and pure devotion to Christ.

2 Co 11:4 For if someone comes and proclaims another Jesus than the one we proclaimed, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or if you accept a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it readily enough....

2 Co 11:12 And what I do I will continue to do, in order to undermine the claim of those who would like to claim that in their boasted mission they work on the same terms as we do.

2 Co 11:13 For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ.

2 Co 11:14 And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.

2 Co 11:15 So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds
.

Anyone who accepts Mormonism has built their foundation on a lie. Their heavenly father (God) was once a mere mortal man. "As man is, God once was; as God is, man may become." They believe and teach that a man can become a god and populate his own planet, if he does all the right things while here on earth. Research Gordon B. Hinckley-past president of the LDS church. Their Jesus was the spiritual brother of Lucifer, was a god before He was a man (which contradicts their teaching of a man becoming a god) and His sacrifice on the cross was not enough for salvation. They only believe the KJV as far as "correctly interpreted" and the "Book of Mormon" is more authoritative than the Bible.
