Evidence for God from Science

ok, so i found this video on youtube by Hitchens that seemed pretty interesting about the origins of the bible and Christianity. Skip towards the end for the most interesting part. What's your opinion? can you respond to it?

While I admit this guy is intelligent and entertaining to listen to, his arguement is fallacious. First he argues that God didn’t appear when there were horrible things happening in the world and then he argues that the people he chose to appear to were experiencing the most harship.
