Scary stuff in the Bible

I have a question

I feel very confused by the bible. I came here to hopefully gain some understanding of the texts from your point of view. I am not Christian... mostly because I read the bible... There are a lot of disturbing and scary things in it. It is very bloody, graphic, and sexual. When I picked it up... I kinda wasn't expecting all that.

How may I attempt to discuss these things... without breaking the rules or offending people? I believe I may have come to a different conclusion than the book was intending to get across. I simply can not believe that Christians would think it OK to do most of which I read...

However- I found Ezekiel despite being very, very scary- to be my favorite book with in the Bible. I found it exciting and cool.

Ug. I want so badly to talk about the Bible and that is why I have come here.

And I really like the Art even though the Bible says... it is bad?
Do you get what I am trying to say? Like... there is a lot of stuff in the Bible that isn't PG13... much of it is NC 17.

Hi Jonouchi Katsuya
Asking questions about what we believe is not against the forum rules, as long as you are a genuine seeker and not just looking to pick a fight.
Welcome to the forum

And just so you know, not everything people do in the Bible is approved of by Christians or Jesus and other people in the Bible.
