The news on BBC is OK but your country is overrun by Muslims; so, for anything having to do with Israel I prefer to watch Al-Jazeera because - as bizarre as this may sound - they seem to be far more objective.

By the way, I only like the BBC for Top Gear.

It doesn't sound bizarre to me. Our national broadcasting service is rotten at its core.

...‘bias’ is too blunt a word to describe the subtleties of the pervading culture. The better word is a ‘mindset’. At the core of the BBC, in its very DNA, is a way of thinking that is firmly of the Left.

Can’t argue with that. It can still produce quality programming, but the BBC license fee should be abolished. It’s only a matter of time before it is.

Well...thanks for the link to the Daily Mail article. I guess I'll never get a job at the BBC because I like Margaret Thatcher!

The article also made me aware of a trend in news on this side of the Atlantic: a news service interviewing its own reporters. It is excellent way of reporting on a story while pushing a point-of-view; of lending credibility to biased reporting while appearing factual. It does seem like ''talking to yourself.''

Thanks for making me aware of this.

No worries. I’m in the Thatcher camp generally, though after looking back over her government she wasn’t the staunch conservative I once thought she was.

But the Left over here literally spew hate towards this old woman. She has been taken into hospital a few times over the last years, and Leftist cranks would wish her dead in the most vile terms on forums over here.

Shocking isn’t it? But the country Is wise to them; the BBC has been a laughing stock for years now. Yet who’s really having the laugh when the people are still funding this wonky outfit!
