If we were to have freedom of religion....why do we say "under God" when saying the pledge of allegiance...why on money it says..."in God we Trust," Why do we sing songs that deal with how blessed our country is?
Our Constitution was structured by the bible right?

As to the pledge of allegiance, I feel like it's how you read it.

1. You take it to mean we are all religious and professing belief in trust in God

2. It is a means to say that the state is under God in the sense that we do not control God (synonymous with religion) and everyone is free to follow who they choose. In that sense, the state is under God but not like a theocracy.

And we do have freedom of religion, it's only bigots that jump at the chance to start trouble that stir up these things.
