Instillation of the soul through man?

If there's anything that i'm questioning right now it's the instillation of the soul through man...where did God instill the soul in man and why homo sapiens? How about homo erectus, cro magnon, Neanderthal, and Australopithecus? Where these just devoid animals left to die and go nowhere after death? Also, is there any doubt among scientists about these creatures existence? How many fossils have we even found and are we jumping to conclusions?

*probably the reason behind why I'm questioning my faith right now is because this seems like a huge blow to Christianity and very weird to me...as each creature became more and more like humans we see today i'm sure his chemicals/response to others became better so nowadays what we call the soul or conviction is just advanced chemicals and nothing more. Not that I believe that but that question popped in my head earlier today...

Someone else will probably have a better answer, but it looks to me like you're putting an undue amount of pressure on the Christian worldview. Let them show that we are just advanced chemicals... something like that would be impossible to prove. And yet there are so many things that set humans apart, again if scientists want to show some missing evolutionary link (or whatever) then let them show it.

Something like this could never be a death blow to Christianity, however. If all else fails (and all else hasn't failed) then the existence of the soul can be inferred based on other evidences for Christianity and God, unless they can conclusively prove that there is no such thing as a human soul (something that's not going to happen).

Another thing that should be examined is whether us being a collection of chemicals would somehow disprove God/the Bible. We all KNOW that the physical brain and the body have a role to play, I think sometimes that role is undervalued by religious people. Even if you want to say that advanced chemicals are responsible for thought, consciousness, free will, etc... how does that disprove Christianity? It undermines traditional dualistic lines of thought, but I don't see how its a death blow by any stretch even if it could be proved.

What kind of faith do you have, that you could question so easily?
If your faith is in Christianity, as a belief system based upon presupposed ideas that you have, then that is not a saving faith. True Christianity is about the person of Christ. The author and perfecter of our faith. Hebrews 12:2.

perhaps because god let us evolve into what we are today because we are better fit for this world than all others of the homo genus before us

I understand but i thought about it too in depth I guess and took God out of the picture and started to write on the forum with that in mind. Even though I support OEC and think YECers have it all wrong... It still seems against God's character to wait so long to instill the soul of man. Why even have Homo Erectus/Neanderthal and so on? Wouldn't an all knowing God just not create them and skip right to Homo Sapien Sapien? I know people will write back and say "God didn't have to wait, He isn't bound by space/time." But what was the purpose of the earlier human forms? To live short lives, die, and be cool museum artifacts? I know i'm sounding harsh but these are the questions i have...it just makes no sense.... I do believe in God/Jesus Christ rising again but going back to Genesis and comparing it to other things make it seem so weird and make me question a lot of things.

You're Getting all worked up over something that is nonessential to the faith. Bring your concerns to God. He'll help.
Even though I support OEC and think YECers have it all wrong... It still seems against God's character to wait so long to instill the soul of man
Even if we assume YECs creation model is wrong, young earth or old earth beliefs aren't essential beliefs.
While searching for the truth, keep that in mind.
