Evidence for God from Science

Well everyone,

I went for a job interview yesterday, for a position with a company associated with the company I presently work for. I flubbed the interview. I didn't notice, that I must have been nervous. I was asked a couple of simple questions that I deal with everyday. I completely drew a blank. I sounded like I had no idea what I was talking about. On the way home, I was trying to figure out how I forgot something that I'm so familiar with. Oh well, I can't change that now. One thing I have going for me is my reputation in the company. And, two of the three people that conducted the interview, know me. Just pray that if it's God's will, I get offered the job. The decision may have already been made though.

Same here Brother. Just a suggestion, do you think it's a good idea to send a follow-up letter (e-mail, whatever) as a thank you for the opportunity for an interview and possibly sneak in a mention that you were nervous (try to spin it in a positive way of course). In any case, I will praying for you Rick. Please keep us posted either way.

This is not a bad idea, Rick.

Say something like "as nerve-racking as interviews usually are, I believe my skills and experience will be an asset to the company and will greatly contribute to future growth", or something on that order.

Too late. I didn't get the job. I found out shortly after i got to work today. I know God has something else for me, but it still stinks being rejected. I've been here 18 months part-time. All the job openings require me to be able to change my hours on a whim, whenever the company feels it's necessary. The particular job I went on the interview for yesterday, had set hours that I could work. With my wife also working, and a son at home, family comes before work. Oh well, maybe there's another opportunity out there, that i don't know of yet.

Really sorry Rick that you did not get the job. But like you said - God has it all in hand and he is opening doors you are not even aware of yet. I pray something amazing will come along soon.

Thank You, StMonica. The funny thing is that every time I don't apply for a job opening, I always get the people who say "your son's old enough now. You can leave him home alone". I'm tired of justifying my choice to put my son's well-being, before a job. It would be a completely different situation, if I had to work more, because I needed to. We've made the decision to live within our means, and sacrifice some things we don't need, because of what's important.

This will allow you to gain even more glory in your afterlife It is very, very noble of you and very humble of you and your wife to choose to do this in such a materialistic world. I can imagine you're growing tired of having to justify your choices to simply do the right thing -- what a messed up world it is to have to do that! You may not be "wealthy" in the temporal sense, but you are absolutely LOADED when it comes to your emotional and spiritual health. To that, I commend you. It really IS what's important

Rick, I pray for God's blessing over your life and your future. As someone who has been around the process of job changes for many years, when I look back at the jobs I didn't get, and the ones that I did get after that, the way that God had my path planned and made it reality becomes really clear. God truly puts us, His children, in a place which 1. glorifies Him the most, and 2. is the absolute best for us.

Keep working hard, keep delivering your best and trust the path God has laid out for you.
