God's Army

Few questions on this
1) why did god have an army before Satan turned against him? Who would they ever fight? Were there other gods or something?
2) Can you die in a heavily war? And if so, What happens?
3) How would they even fight?

If i remember this correctly lucifer was the leader of god's army (arch angel) before his rebellion

and in Revelation 12:7, in the war in heaven, will the angels that die disappear forever?

This is Just my opinion, Murray. I believe since angels are spiritual beings, they won't be annihilated. In the same way, I believe humans will live forever, in 1 of 2 places.

But it's a war..... What do they do if not die. Or is this like 2 immortals getting into a slapping fight?

Ok, so now that bring up another question. Why would satan fight if he KNOWS he will loose?
And again, it seems the definition of war in the bible is pretty set in stone, and it was used to describe the events in heaven, so that still leads me to believe their can be deaths in a heavily war.

The answer is found in the bible - they wrestle and bind/chain the loser...

No slap fight at all, now look at these principles within the bible: Eph 6:12c NKJV, Matthew 18:18c
What do they say?

It is unlike any war we can imagine. Simply put, the devil thinks he can entrap God by pitting God’s own promises, gifts, word against God’s own Character/Nature so as to disprove to God himself that God is absolutely true in all He (God) says He (God) is.
Think of Saul Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals – a book in the first printings dedicated to Lucifer – that man was inspired and placed much the same tatics the devil thinks he can use against God and win. Example: make God live up to his own standards, create chaos, etc and etc…
Now look at these verses again and what radical tactics is the devil attempting?
Luke 4:1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 NKJV
