Are they real?
"The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands." (Psalm 19:1)

How so?Canuckster1127 wrote:Angels are. The popular portrayal of guardian angels assigned to all individuals is not Biblical.
Of course angels are real. I was just wondering about guardian angels. Many people accept it as true in society and I'm wondering how that came to be if there is no biblical evidence for them.Canuckster1127 wrote:Angels are clearly described and acknowledged in the Bible.

As far as Guardian angels not being Biblical, I can't prove a negative. Do you have Biblical passages that you believe demonstrate the existence of Guardian angels? If so, please feel free to present it and we can discuss it from there.

It appears to be a concept that is supported by inference and not any direct teaching in Scripture. I see evidence of Angels sent by God (Angel is just a word transliterated from the Greek word "angelos" which means messenger) to protect individuals. It's quite a stretch to then make the leap that each of us has an angel assigned to us. It's also unecessary in my mind. For those who have received Christ we have Christ Himself indwelling us as the Holy Spirit. Why look for more than that?
