Athiest's silly picture

This picture I found on facebook invoked a great deal of laughter. Poorly reasoned piece of work.

I got a particularly good laugh when the universe "suggests" that I began cultivating relationships and "improving conditions" for newcomers.
What obligations do I have for that? The mind boggles, friends.

Coldblood, as I'm a sheriff, and lifelong member of the grammar police, I'm swearing out a warrant for your arrest. A simple google search for "lifeform", would have shown you that the correct term is,
"life form", with the space between the two words.

Dom, this looks like an official letter. Have you authenticated the letter. The ramifications for all of us are life-changing, if this is an authentic letter, from the actual universe. It would prove that the universe is eternal, not God. Please tell me that this is a fake letter. My faith may have been damaged beyond what I can bear.

It's far worse than you think. It implies the universe is intelligent enough to formulate such a letter to begin with.

OK, sheriff, I’m busted. Still, it seems like a hyphen might’ve helped; or “Form of Life” might make better sense, however awkward that would be.
Must I go to jail or will you accept my plea for probation?

Wow, that's deep! This throws a huge "monkey wrench" into my whole theology. So, with this belief, the universe wasn't created by a transcendent, intelligent being. The universe itself, is the intelligent being. Looks like pantheism may be true after all. Reincarnation ftw!!!!

In the immortal words of Douglas Adams, "So long, and thanks for all the fish!"

Coldblood, since the nature of your "crime" is so grievous, I sentence you to solitary confinement, while listening to a continuous loop of Jason Lisle videos.

In the immortal words of Steven Wright, "My theory of evolution is that Darwin was adopted."

Love Steven Wright. One of my favorite jokes (can I you even call them jokes? I don't know), he lives on a one way dead end street.
