Are you getting at any particular angle here? Because to me it just seems like a really cool discovery for our understanding of early human civilization and also for our understanding of mammoths in general.

I just thought dinosaurs and humans didn't co-exist, unless a mammoth isn't considered a dinosaur?

Eric, mammoths arent considered dinosaurs. They purportedly lived during the supposed ice age although that one looks like one of the newer ones age wise. They are mammals.

I didn't know mammoths lived that long. 10,000 years is quite a lifespan!

I think the discovery of this is actually amazing, 10,000 years in the past and they found this. For some this may be a shock, people who believe the earth is only a couple thousand years old may question what they believed about the earth's age. The point is we really have no idea how old the earth actually is; I don't believe its billions of years old, but going 10,000 years into the past is interesting, and to see a creature from that long ago is amazing. There are always arguments about the earth's age, while some are interesting it takes the focus off of much more important things in Christian life. The main point is God created the earth, and created man in his image, exactly how long ago we may never find out.
