Hey everyone, I was wanting to ask you all, based on what you all know regarding the Bible and theology, just how powerful is satan compared to God? From what I've studied many Christian and non Christian groups differ quite a bit. Some like the Mormons say that satan and Christ are equal in power, meaning satan's evil power equals Christ's good power. But of course, according to them, both satan and Christ are brothers.
But to get closer to a more accurate comparison, I personally believe that even though satan's power may seem very great to us especially when bad things or temptation is around us, I tend to think a good comparison between God and satan is like comparing a gnat (satan) to the largest star or sun in our solar system.
Or perhaps I go could even further and say that satan is like the size of a baby gnat in power versus God is like the entire universe in terms of power. Now is that more of a better comparison?
Simply I tend to think that instead of the two being equally powerful or God only being slightly more powerful than satan do you figure God is indeed infinitely more powerful than satan? Because I currently think this is probably the most accurate view to take.
Let me know your thoughts, thanks and GB.

The only power Satan has is what God lets him have.
Satan only has power in our lives if we allow him, speaking the name of Christ Jesus will make him flee.
Compared to God he is but a speck of dust.
If God's power is compared to the size of our universe Satan's power is smaller than a quantum string of energy and even then only if God allows it then it is so.

Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners of whom I am the worst. But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his immense patience as an example for those who would believe in him and receive eternal life. Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever.Amen.

John 5:24
