Jews call for Messiah

Post by Gman »

There is a lot of buzz over this in the messianic communities. For the very first time in history, Jews are corporately calling out for Mashiach (Messiah). The interesting thing about this is Yeshua will hear their call. Matthew 23:37-39, Luke 13:35, Zech 12:10-11.

Here is the video on this: //www.youtube.com/watch?v=O50fLtr0yqI

Just out of curiosity...Is this seriously a big deal? Haven't the Jews been praying for the Messiah to come for a long, long time now? Or is this actually a totally new event? Is it based on the OT, or is it something organized through an outside, modern group? And if the Messiah does not come and end all suffering, what exactly would that mean to Jewish people (or again, is this not actually a big deal)?

sorry for the many questions, I'm just curious to know if you have more info to share.

Yes, they actually pray the Shema or "oneness" three times a day. The interesting thing about this is that this is a call for corporate prayer at a certain time. Whether it will catch on we will see. Prophecy teaches that they will call out corporately for Messiah when they are pushed against the wall...
