Did Paul ever visit Britain?
Simple question.
Was having a discussion with my friend online earlier, and we were talking about the early church and how it began in Britain.
He said he came across a book in which somebody gave good evidence for Paul visiting Britain and actually preaching there at Glastonbury Abby.
He denies any belief in British Israel. As do I.
What are your thoughts on this? Any real evidence to back up the claim that Paul visited Britain? The answer obviously will have a ripple effect on to how you think the Christian church originally began in Britain.

Re: Did Paul ever visit Britain?
Well, if the Church began in Britain with Paul's visit, who's to deny that the church began in New Zealand with a visit by Paul? And Canada...South Africa...Australia...Fiji...USA...France...Spain (he did book a trip there, right?)...Sweden...Norway...uh...uh...the CONGO! (that's why there are so many African Christians!)...Singapore?...not sure...
Anyway, Paul certainly was a world traveller...Do you think the Egyptians really built the pyramids??? I'm CERTAIN they had help from intergallactic beings travelling in zooming flying saucers!
I must stop now. My brain is overheating.

If they had a social gospel in the days of the prodigal son, somebody would have given him a bed and a sandwich and he never would have gone home.

Re: Did Paul ever visit Britain?
I think the reason that the notion Pal even visited Britain in the first place was that some historians of the time actually recorded it and recorded that he also preached there.
I personally do not believe it, was looking for thoughts.

Seems perfectly reasonable, considering Jesus visited Britain as a boy with Joseph of Arimathea and then Joseph later returned to Glastonbury with the grail. I'm sure the head of John the Baptist is around here somewhere but I think the reptilian Royal bloodlines are keeping it well under wraps.........

While I visited England in my youth, I never preached there.
Just to be clear on the matter.

Let us proclaim the mystery of our faith: Christ has died, Christ is risen, Christ will come again.
