When you pray
When you pray do you ever deliberately tell God what you think He might not want to hear?

All the time. It's called confession.ultimate777 wrote:When you pray do you ever deliberately tell God what you think He might not want to hear?
Let us proclaim the mystery of our faith: Christ has died, Christ is risen, Christ will come again.
Lord I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof, but only say the word and my soul shall be healed.

Re: When you pray
I tell God pretty much whatever is on my mind. No use holding back with Him. He already knows what we're thinking anyways. God can handle whatever we can throw at Him, He has pretty big shoulders.
John 5:24
24 “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.

That He seems at least very much to be less than perfect, and you wish he would do things differently.Sam1995 wrote:What do you mean by that?ultimate777 wrote:When you pray do you ever deliberately tell God what you think He might not want to hear?

This might be a better answer than the first one I gave you, but it takes an effortSam1995 wrote:What do you mean by that?ultimate777 wrote:When you pray do you ever deliberately tell God what you think He might not want to hear?

Matthew 6:
"9 “Pray, then, in this way:
‘Our Father who is in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
10 ‘Your kingdom come.
Your will be done,
On earth as it is in heaven.
What is God to be accused of?
But examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good.

Re: When you pray
For starters not stopping all the mass murder in the world, such as the holocaust. Then there is this little thing about allowing us to be made prone to sin. And then blaming us when we do. That is if the Bible is mistake free.1over137 wrote:Accusation?ultimate777 wrote:God's always up for confession.Byblos wrote:All the time. Lol, ultimate, you have been asking the same question for more than a year now. You have been given answers before too. You just don't like the answers, admit it.For starters not stopping all the mass murder in the world, such as the holocaust. Then there is this little thing about allowing us to be made prone to sin. It would be a blessing if they missed the cairns and got lost on the way back. Or if
the Thing on the ice got them tonight.
I could only turn and stare in horror at the chief surgeon.
Death by starvation is a terrible thing, Goodsir, continued Stanley.
And with that we went below to the flame-flickering Darkness of the lower deck
and to a cold almost the equal of the Dante-esque Ninth Circle Arctic Night
without.

1. Why God should stop all the mass murder?
2. By prone to sin you mean being able to sin if desired?
But examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good.
