Hey bro I'm not that familiar with the theory of panspermia, but this has very little to do with the origin of life. This is why I loved watching signature in the cell, which was my turning point from theistic evolution to ID.
The reason why I'm not bothered one way or another is because chemicals alone cannot ever account for the origin of life and as Stephen Meyers correctly points out is that information is the source and originator of life and of DNA

I think John would agree very much with this statement in his gospel: "In the beginning there was the Word."

"The Word" in John is not information. The Word in John is Jesus Christ.
