I confess, that was CLOSE!

Like Hana, I write poems.
And I just want to post this here...
Early this morning I was going for some exercise at the gym. Opened the gate and was about to rev the car and this stranger suddenly walked in he garage. I thought, who was this guy? This man apparently had a gun and when he asked about money, this was going to be a mugging for sure.
Yet, I survived and he left without the situation going bloody hell. How? I'm not entirely sure, I presumed he thought I had a gun. What I did was probably VERY stupid. I thank God for His wisdom.
Near Rest
"So life 'comes different when your nearest
The rest of life, slumber cold; Now get this:
A stranger walked casually, and... and lest -
No, I digress. 'Twas just a thought, dismiss
Done with that, won't believe what had happened
For who really knows what could have happened?
I know what I had seen: my close call and
Right in front of me: my certain death. And
Money, he felt his belt, asked for money,
Answered him, mirrored his move with head up
'No money... you're in private property.'
Dark morning, lit the street lights, the street up
When my ignorance left along with him,
A fear summoned yet dead for then I knew
It was under the morning when the light dim
Trust, faith, wisdom, I held true. This I knew
Upon the Lord."
Also, I wasn't alone. The guy didn't notice the person at the door until he shifted his gaze. None of us had a gun like he did though.
Seriously though, that was close.
