Biblical contradictions

Do you know there are lots of discrepancies in the Holy Bible? I understand you’re raising your eyebrows Isn’t it. You just go ahead of reading this and finally come to a conclusion ok. Don’t think there are lots of contradictions and discrepancies only in Old Testament, the New Testament also have the same names mismatch, numbers mismatch, difference in genealogy, in accurate historical data, errors in geographical details, and various doctrines were advocated by various redactors.

The Ten Commandments were wrote by the Yahweh himself on the stone tablet and given to Mosses (Deuteronomy 5:22) but according to Exodus 34:27 Mosses was told by the Yahweh himself to wrote the ten commandments. Other than King James Bible and Hebrew translation, almost all translations not revealed those things.

According to Exodus 25:16 the almighty ordered Mosses to keep the two Ten Commandments tablets in the Ark of Covenant. Exodus 40:16 & 40:20 in the second year first day of the first month Moses set up a tent and placed the Covenant box with the two tablets of Ten Commandments. Form this above what we are infer is the Covenant box was not made and it was not kept in the tent until the first day of first month of the second year of their wandering.

Now come to Deuteronomy 10:1 Mosses states in his words the almighty told him to cut two similar stone tablets and keep them in a wooden box and take them with him to the mountain, which implies that the Covenant box and the stone tablets were made at the same time since then the Ten commandments tablets were kept in the box itself. Exodus and Deuteronomy verses are contradicting each other.

The references you gave to Dt 5:22 and Ex 34:27 have nothing to do with each other. I could spoon-feed you the correct information but you would learn more if you found it yourself. Hint: read all of Exodus 34. Now, answer these questions:

-Where in Exodus 34 does God say He will write on the new stone tablets?
-What - exactly - is God asking Moses to write down in Ex 34:27?

Here again, you are confused. I could spoon-feed you the correct information but you would learn more if you found it yourself. Answer these questions:

-Who built the Ark and where was it built? Hint: find the answer somewhere between Exodus 31 and Exodus 37.
-Where do the events of Exodus chapters 31-32-33-34-35-36-37-38-39 and 40 take place?

You are confused, again. This time, however, you should be able to see your mistake if you've gone through the trouble of reading through Exodus.

One more thing: I'll need answers to my questions if you want to continue asking about biblical ''discrepancies''. I need to know that you're working this through.

People who want to believe in biblical contradictions will not check out your link, Vanquish. That's why Adam323 never came back.

Are you an Aston Martin Vanquish?

Adam323 if he does come back hes got this website he can look at, and its public domain free for everyone who wants to learn, this is for the bible not against it, im strengthening the word of God, if you bother to check out the website and look for yourself, a group of Christians put this together as a defense of atheism like dan barker who bashes Christians and uses this type of language, here check this youtube video

One of the easiest things to do with ANYTHING is cherry-pick parts that seem to contradict when taken out of context of the whole they were written in.
People that do that and people that agree with them without actually studying for themselves, do everyone a disservice. Believers and skeptics alike.

It's been almost 2 weeks, and "adam" has neither responded to those who responded to his post nor posted in other threads. I'm guessing this thread was a browse-by semi-troll. I'll join FL in counseling actually reading what the Bible has to say - get the full accounts, aka "context" - rather than try to cherry-pick a sentence here and a sentence there and claim they contradict. Getting the full context will be disappointing, but you end up with less egg on your face.

Let me illustrate the silliness that can come from Bible hopscotch: The Kamikaze Bible Study Method ...

1. Open your Bible where it will and read where your finger lands ... Matthew 27:5 "(Judas) went away and hanged himself."

2. Open your Bible where it will and read where your finger lands ... Luke 10:37 "Go and do the same."

3. Open your Bible where it will and read where your finger lands ... John 13:27 "What you do, do quickly."

Fl & Daniel, most of that is a joke that was current in the 1970s. I can only claim "Kamikaze Bible Study Method" to be original, and I thought of that back in the 70s. Anyway, feel free.

It hits at one of my two of my peeves, using the Bible almost like a form of divination to find God's will. I won't say God cannot and would not use such a thing - God has used a donkey and me - but the Bible should not be a cleaner version of sheep and chicken entrails. FWIW, my other pet peeve is what I would call Promise Box Bible Study, taking nice-sounding or otherwise suitable verses out of context and using them for "inspiration" or to fit some agenda. This ranges from the common usage of, "Judge not ...," to the currently popular, "I know the plans I have for you ...". Neither have much to do with what God meant. And using God's Word this way trivializes it.

Here is a list of commonly asserted contradictions in the Bible, with refuting/explanatory answers:

http://www.forerunner.com/realjesus/cou ... ions#INDEX

And here is a book that every Christian should have on his bookshelf: "New International Encyclopedia of Bible Difficulties" by conservative, evangelical Bible scholar, Dr. Gleason Archer. It's pretty exhaustive and very detailed in answering the common questions about supposed contradictions.
