Here is an interesting article concerning a Barna Group poll looking into possible reasons why young Americans are leaving Church and in some cases - Christianity.

What I notice most missing was the effects of secularization in our public schools and society at large. Any way, interesting article...

I have noticed that when I speak to young people that have either fallen out or simply never "joined in", it is ( typically) because they do not believe in THEIR understanding of God or don't want anything to do with the "corrupt" beast that is "religion" (though they tend to mean organized religion they simply say religion).
I notice when I bring up certain passages and certain views about God that are orthodox BUT tend to be neglected at times, they often say,"Well...I was never told that" or "I never knew that" and so forth.
I think the big issue is extremism and how just 1 extremist "bible thumper" can do so much damage.
I alo notice that if mainstream popular media is against religion then so are they, typically.
I notice that many take views from shows they think as "smart shows" as correct and that many also tend to hear only what they want to.
What I mean is that they will hear what they want to agree with in regards to religion BUT disregard any "counter point" or not even bother to search out a counter point at all to an argument that WANT to be true.
For a generation supposedly brought up with "critical thinking" they seem to be very lacking in that when it applies to what they don't want it to apply to.

Never mind young people. When a Muslim gets the top job at the CIA,* you know that the USA is on the wrong track. Can you see the train wreck coming?

Thanks be to Baroque Osama! Allahu Akbar!

I doubt it. Muslims have trouble taking over their own countries. Europeans will probably take over the world but with a vengeance this time around.

I heard about your world dominance plan Silvertusk. If the Welsh take over the world, they'll make Man-sheep marriage legal and absolutely necessary.

But if the Welsh try to take over the world and fail, they will henceforth agree not to get mad if someone calls them "British".

You are British, aren't you Silvertusk? :poke:
