Why do I question your basic assumptions?

Post by ultimate777 »

If they can stand my fire they may be fine pottery, if the fire is too much, they may be of limited value.

I do the similar to unbelievers, and many of them howl as loud as some of you.

I may reveal each side to the other. I Would love to see some old fashioned gladiating:)

This is in the Questions for Christians forum. What is your question that you want answered, Ultimate777?
John 5:24
24 “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.

Ok, sorry, I guess this might be better in another forum, I'll see what I can find. I know what I said was very contentious.

Here's an idea. Was what I said so contentious I should drop it, or would anything be gained to repeat it in another forum and which?

Pardon me for being so blunt, but have you said anything on this forum that wasn't contentious?

Very likely not, and very likely never will. The question is does my persistent contentiousness prevent my posts from having value or might it even increase value?
I've heard that the best way for a good basketball team to practice is against better teams than it will play for real. One of the last amateur USA Olympic teams practiced some in games against NBA players. Maybe me giving people a hard time will help us find the truth.
If the general consensus is its destructive I should consider staying away, if as is likely, I cannot change.

But those basketball players aren't rude or demeaning or their practice. They play hard for the common good. Their end is to build up, not tear down.

There is a major difference in being contentious and being conscientious. The difference is one of attitude. The former reflects Prov. 29:9, the latter Prov. 27:17. If there was every a board that tolerated and even encouraged careful examinations of why we believe what we believe, this is it. What this board does not encourage, and what we tend to roll our eyes at, is arrogant, ignorant attempts to tear down. One is of wisdom, the other of foolishness. How you'll continue to perceived, then, is up to you. I have my suspicions about how you will choose to continue, which perception you will thus continue to engender, and who you will blame for it. But perhaps you'll surprise me.

And that, brothers and sisters, is the kind of foolishness you get people who insist on denying biblical theism. A good illustration of any as the length people will go to avoid acknowledging basic truths.

If people here believe my attitude is bad, it is their privilege to do so. Likewise if they think I am arrogant, and am ignorantly attempting to tear down what's here, that is their priviledge. And I will let God decide who is to blame, if there is any blame.

If you really want to see some old fashioned gladiating going on - then why are you trying to justify running way?

Perhaps a better example would be drill sergeants at boot camp. You think I'm demeaning and rude, maggot?

So, you are a better judge of me than God is? You wouldn't say what you say unless you know at least as much as He, would you?
