Merry Christmas :dancing:

Jesus came to save the worst sinners, being one of them I feel truly grateful and blessed.

I used to hate Christmas, gift giving, carols etc.. Then I came to know Christ and found out what love was all about, now I love buying gifts, I love attempting to sing carols, I love playing them on the guitar with the band, I love Christ and everything about his miraculous birth.

I love you guys. y@};-

Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners of whom I am the worst. But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his immense patience as an example for those who would believe in him and receive eternal life. Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever.Amen.

When I became Christian it completely changed how I feel about Xmas. It is a celebration of Jesus' coming. Celebration of love.

I love when people have vacation, decorate streets, homes. It feels like whole world is rejoicing.

Isaiah 9:6-7 wrote: For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
7 Of the greatness of his government and peace
there will be no end.
He will reign on David’s throne
and over his kingdom,
establishing and upholding it
with justice and righteousness
from that time on and forever.
Luke 1:31-33 wrote: 31And now, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you will name him Jesus.
32 He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Most High, and the Lord God will give to him the throne of his ancestor David.
33 He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end.
Merry Christmas one and all.
Let us proclaim the mystery of our faith: Christ has died, Christ is risen, Christ will come again.

Lord I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof, but only say the word and my soul shall be healed.

Hey G, X has been traditionally used by the church for a long time, it is the symbol for Christ and is part of the Chi-Rho cross. I think it has something to do with Greek lettering, I think from memory it is the first letter of Christ in Greek. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

No, you are correct. Check the link in my signature. Christians are getting upset for no valid reason, when other Christians say "Xmas".

Well that's fine but I find using x-mas as being very disrespectful. Many atheists would rather use that term. You will never find me using that term.. To each their own I guess.

G,
I can certainly understand that you think it's disrespectful. After all, you've gone to the extreme of writing "G-d", because you believe it's disrespectful to write out God's name. Even though "God" is not His name.

I would think most people don't think it's disrespectful when they understand what the X in X-mas stands for.

I know what you mean Rick, no offense.. But where does it stop? Are we saying now that wherever you see Christ we replace it with an "X"? "X" our Lord and savior? And "X" was born in Bethlehem? y#-o You see what I mean? My head is hurting enough already..

But hey, don't call me old school for nothing.. :P

I know the Apple corporation won't fight the use of it... ;)
