Extraterrestrial life
I have recently revisited the "sketchy" part of YouTube and have watched some interesting videos on extraterrestrial life. I was just wondering what some of your opinions on extraterrestrial life is.

What about it? I'd love to meet the little fellas some day.Seeker wrote:I have recently revisited the "sketchy" part of YouTube and have watched some interesting videos on extraterrestrial life. I was just wondering what some of your opinions on extraterrestrial life is.
Let us proclaim the mystery of our faith: Christ has died, Christ is risen, Christ will come again.
Lord I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof, but only say the word and my soul shall be healed.

This stuff from what I've studied ties in closely with the stuff concerning Genesis 6 and the Nephilim. You can read about what I've written on it and check out some of the cited resources on the Nephilim here:

And here is another radio interview featuring L.A. Marzulli discussing Extraterrestials, UFOs and it's likely connection with lucifer and his fallen angels.

Re: Extraterrestrial life
So...given where life on this orb has been found and given the sheer size of the reality we find ourselves in? The chances of some other orb having the possibility of life would seem to be better than a one off chance.
The problem is the distances between such orbs is so vast that getting to/from any where else, even within our own galaxy, are a daunting and incredibly challenging proposition.
Much cheers to all.

Re: Extraterrestrial life
I guess my attitude is close to that of Larry Norman in his song, U.F.O.:
Most of the song has to do with Jesus' future return to earth (Norman's view thereof was Pre-Millennial, Pre-Tribulation). I take Norman to have meant that there are more important things to be devoting lots of energy to - things closer to Earth and our daily lives - than speculations about whether there is life elsewhere in the universe. Until Neptunians or Andromedans drop in on us and make their presence known, I'll go with that, leaving such matters in God's hands. And if there's life on other planets
Then I'm sure that He must know
And He's been there once already
And has died to save their souls

If they had a social gospel in the days of the prodigal son, somebody would have given him a bed and a sandwich and he never would have gone home.

Nuts! You weren't supposed to figure that out!
True story ... Back in the days before personalized license plates became common in the US, Mrs. S in CA, her Mom, our firstborn (then a baby) and I drove across the US to visit family and friends. We had personalized plates on our car. At a gas station in Arkansas while paying using our gas credit card I had a conversation that went something like this:
Attendant: "License plate number?"
Me: (The license plate number)
Attendant: "State?"
Me: "California."
Attendant: "It figures."
Mrs. S in CA and I had - and still occasionally do - a good laugh at that incident.

Re: Extraterrestrial life
If you'd like to extensively explore questions surrounding potential aliens, UFOs, Roswell, supposed alien visitations, ancient astronaut claims, aliens supposedly referred to in the Bible - all such subjects are covered in great detail by conservative Christian, Bible scholar and ancient languages and civilizations expert, Michael Heiser, here: http://michaelsheiser.com/UFOReligions/about/
I highly recommend Mike's analysis and reviews. He's a first-rate scholar and expert on ancient languages and civilizations and how they relate to ancient Biblical texts.
