Make a poll for the 40% of this country that makes less than $20,000 a year....or... $2,083 in 1964 wages.

In 1964, the average salary was $6,000 a year...and most things were made in the US..and unemployment was minimal.
A person working in 1964 at minimum wage...would have earned $2,500 at 40hrs. a week for 50 weeks for the year!

So; today in the U.S.... 40% of this country is making less (with current buying power) than a minimum wage worker did in 1964!

Wake up liberalphobes...history shows us that oppressing working people never leads to a good ending.

We have been depending on super cheap labor and goods; mostly from Asia; and government assistance programs
to fill the void that these sub-$12 per hour jobs create.

What biblical principle are we following? I cannot see anything, but A Pledge of Indifference from
Congress to the 40%!

Drivel is what a label is. They are not reality and are not helpful to understanding.

Rick...you have missed the point...it's not about liberal vs conservative...It's about institutionalized, Congressional gridlock!
It's about a broken, inept/inapt, and corrupt U.S. Congress (libs and cons); which the tired, inapt U.S. Constitution created by default.

"Bleeding Heart Drivel"? Mehhh ... I live too close to Berserkeley, San Francisco and Santa Cruz. Stereotype-laden? Yeah. Blindered? Yeah. But it just doesn't quite reach the depth of "Bleeding Heart Drivel", to me anyway.

BTW, if you haven't sent it off to Congress, you might want to change the phrase, "rotting progressively". While you use the word quite correctly - as I understand your meaning and intent - "Progressive" is also the current buzz word more extreme liberals in the US use in self-description. Such liberal folk may not appreciate your coupling progressively with rotting (and may be quite hypersensitive to a perceived slight).

The questions are simple.....which pledge reveals the direction this Post-Reagan country has been going since 1981....?...which sounds
more like propaganda (nationalistic ideals that cannot be ever realistically lived up to...but make people feel good...ie Hitler's Germany)?

This is the typical drivel constantly spouted from the left, about conservatives. The liberal left equates conservatives not wanting forced taxes to "help the poor", with valuing self above the good of those less fortunate.

These issues are much more complex than "forced taxes"....and you still have not explained "forced"....

All I am asking my opponents is to take the time to persuade me that this country DOESNT value...the Individual's interests....much more
than the community's.....This is accepted, common knowledge. Conservative ideology and American culture boasts proudly of its individualisitic focus. That's the whole basis of much of the world's disdain for the arrogance of these policies that bleed into much of U.S. foreign policy.

Individualism is clear to the minority of us...not to be a Christian focus....There are so many scriptures....I already mentioned Act 2...1 Cor.12...etc.
My job is to persuade the majority...to re-think and reconsider the issues that run contrary...TO EVERYTHING THAT I BELIEVE AND LIVE BY.

The difference is....Individual interests might be OK for a rural area...but the 80% of this country and growing that lives in a metrpolitan area....333 areas in the U.S. and Canada......a majority are not happy with the status quo that mostly serves the affluent.

Why do you think that most of the largest cities are "blue"? Have you ever lived in a big city ( more than 500,000 pop.)?
