recognize it, though; it is alright to say, ''Yes, Dimitri is handsome'' and leave it at that.
When I was working with convicts*, a young Jamaican prisonner was surprised to hear me say that some other man was handsome. ''Isn't that kind of homo to say a guy is handsome?'' he asked. I told him, ''You can tell if a man is handsome. That doesn't make you gay.'' He seemed to doubt my words so I gave him this example: ''If I could wave a magic wand and turn you into either Denzel Washington or Dany deVito, which would you choose?'' Before he could answer, I told him that I knew whom he had chosen and that his choice was made only on the appearance of the two men. So, yes, you can tell if a man or woman is good looking without compromising your morals.

Well... both of those guys are good looking and equally talented. But considering that Justin Beaver is more famous than Anna Netrebko, is there any doubt that we are in the Last Days?
