Evidence for God from Science

Hey, I promised that I would stay away for awhile but I'm needing you all to please pray for bippy123. He's still having trouble with this scabies illness. It seems it comes and goes. It's put a huge burden on him both physically as well as financially. If it's ok not only pray for his healing but also pray that God will provide for his financial needs as well. I know what's it's like, I'm in a similar boat that he's in. So anyways, thank you all for your time. GB.

He linked me to great reading material on some questions I had for him. I haven't even come close to finishing it all, and I really appreciate all the links he sent me. If he doesn't remember right off, it was about the Apostlic fathers and the history of Biblical Text, I think it was in the Shroud of Turin thread.

THANKS for the prayer request DRDS. It really helped bro
My friend came over and allowed me to see hsi doctor without insurance. He is supposed to be a very good doctor. He told me that I most likely was misdiagnosed as far as scabies is concerned. He told me that I have chronic cirrhosis of the skin and he told me that I will need to get treatment for it for the rest of my life but many people have it and if maintained they can live a regular life easily. I wont be able to get the monthly treatment for it until I get insurance (I signed up for obamacare a few days back so it will take about 3 weeks to kick it). The Doctor told me that the infection I got triggered the cirrhosis to be extreme so they gave me a steroid shot and sent me back home to rest.

That's some great news Bippy! I'm happy that you have figured out what was wrong.

But Bippy, are you sure it's not psoriasis? I thought cirrhosis was a liver ailment.

Bipster, you're in my prayers. I know how scary it can be to not know what is going on, or to be worried about having the ability to pay for treatment. So you are lifted up!

Glad to hear about your situation improving.

bippy, be aware of the side effects of steroids, if you have to use them for a while. They are wonderful for what they do - I used them for a week or two after brain surgery, to prevent brain swelling inside my skull. They also affect your personality and sleep. As my pharmacist told us, you can become like a drill sergeant. I also was finding I could not sleep much past 6AM (when I normally got up around 7 or 8AM). If you have to use them for a while, also carefully follow the directions about how many times a day. One should not stop steroids suddenly, but follow the tapering-off instructions.
