I just have installed the show banned user feature. Check for example some post by username jerzy. In red color you can see his banned status.

Thanks! While I hope EfGfS' denizens exercise restraint in gloating, I think this will be of practical value, by letting folks know that those who have met the Ban-Hammer won't be responding to those replying to their past posts.

Many/Most/Virtually all discussion sites are targets for spamsters, and have mechanisms in place to screen out the spamsters before they vomit all over the public forums. The "sentry" at RepublicanOperative vets newly registered members and deletes 5-10 probable spamsters a day. Spamsters tend to be unoriginal, lazy, and not very aware of the basic tools discussion site Mods and Admins can use.

It's not everyday, nor almost everyday. Hmm, and when I see there was an increase in number of banned spam users, I know it is time to update captcha.

Yes, you are correct my queen. I just said it seems like everyday, because it happens a lot.

I have now disabled this feature as there is a bug in it. Temporarily banned users still had Banned User shown under their usernames.
