Guns in Church

Care to guess what inspires my question?

Should the law allow churches to allow almost anybody to bring guns into church?

If the law does not permit it a church can "blame" the law if it wants to forbid it
and avoid resposibility for its action. Should that right be denied churches of
thusly avoiding that responsibility?

I think guns should be allowed everywhere, especially in bars.

Why would a Christian need a weapon?

To hunt heretics, of course! Guillotines are so passé.

'Cause a daddy needs a shotgun to warn the boys not to even think of sleepin' with his daughter, of course. :3

Oh, and some fathers like to have a rifle to go out huntin' fer sum deer tuh put sum dinna' on da table for da family. X3

Also, since the daughter's gettin' older and needs a way to protect herself, and pepper spray is for wimps, she's gonna need a concealable revolver. And a speed-loader. [And a good Roundhouse Kick.] Reloading Revolver Ocelot-style is too inconvenient. I don't care how exhilarating it is to manually load each bullet. A speed-loader makes things a bit more convenient.

Pardon the bad joke.

I seem to remember a case where people were murdered in church by a gunman. Perhaps ask the families of those people the question.

So your answer to violence is more violence?

I would rather die for Christ than perpetuate hate and violence, even if it meant my whole family. This life is nothing compared with eternity.

You can keep your weapons, I want nothing to do with that.

Actually, the argument would be that if people were allowed to bring guns into a church(or wherever), then it would lead to less violence. First, by a potential gunman knowing there may be people with guns, he may not go into that place. Second, if a gunman goes into a "gun free zone", and starts unloading his weapons, he pretty much can kill until he runs out of ammo. If there happens to be someone else with a gun there, he may be able to limit the number of people being shot. Thereby lessening the violence.
