If Adam and Eve where the first humans God Created, and they had 2 sons, Cain and Abel, then where did Cain and Abel's Wife's come from? Was there other humans on the earth when God created Adam and Eve?

2 Possibilities here.

1) Adam and Eve where part of a first group of humans and were chosen as representatives of the human race - so there were other humans around as well.

2) Due to their long lifespans - Adam and Eve had many other children not really recorded in the Bible so Cain and Abel essentially married members of their own family.

I prefer option 1 myself.

When Adam had lived 130 years, he had a son in his own likeness, in his own image; and he named him Seth. After Seth was born, Adam lived 800 years and had other sons and daughters. Altogether, Adam lived a total of 930 years, and then he died. (Gen. 5:3-5)

I like option one also. So this means that most humans evolved from apes into modern human BUT while they were living, GOD made Adam And Eve and separated them by putting them into the garden of Eden. After they sinned they were cast out of the garden of Eden. After awhile their offspring procreated with the humans already living on earth.

Does that make sense?

Sounds about right to me. Or Adam and Eve were a special creation, a sort of homo divinus and then because of the fall were sent back to the rest of the sapiens.

I've heard this question many times and never understood the concern, as has been shown. Personally I favour the non-evolution answer that Jac pointed towards. Seems to me only several members of Adams family were named.

I agree with Jac as well but his position is too biblical to be taken seriously in this discussion.

That's a very interesting perspective! Do you suppose those humans already living outside the garden were living a sinless life before Adam and Eve showed up?

God had made Adam and Eve. God had given them children, so God would have made wives for them in particular, although not mentioned in the Bible. So don't pay much time on finding wives for them. OK?

Sorry my English is not good, it should have been written as follows:

God created Adam and Eve. God gave them children, so God would create wives for them in particular, although not mentioned in the Bible. So don't pay much time on finding out where the wives came from. OK?

Nowadays, people (especial atheists) wonder where came the wives for Cain and the other Adam's sons. And I wonder why they spent much time on discussion and imagination to figure out where they came from. Some suggested that the wives came from other kinds of people lived around there and some imagined the wives were the daughters of Adam, himself, but non of their ideas is proven to be true.

In my opinion, what are good for us the Bible tells us clearly, those are what God wants to tell us. What are not important, such as the wives of Adam's sons story, the Bible tell us briefly. Since you have paid much attention on the less important parts of the Bible, my answers are the followings:
-If you are atheists, you don't believe in Bible so you don't believe in Adam story, and so for the wives of the sons, so there is nothing to say with unbelievers in this case.
-If you are believers, you must have known that there is nothing impossible for God. God can create wives for them so easily as having done so for Adam. and out of the stones God can raise up the children of Abraham (Matthew 3:9). God can create wives for them this way or that way. Since the Bibles don't tell us detail so we don't know which way He had done, but we know in our heart that He must create wives for them somehow, and that is enough. You don't need to discuss more, you don't need to imagine much about this. Let your time spent on the more precious parts of the Bible, OK?

So, Vivistd, are you saying its a waste of time to obsess over the sex lives of people who died thousands of years ago? I can't think of anything that would be more important.
